Every board is graded A or Grade B at the mill before it reaches us. We inspect again before packing. Our standard means no splits, no large knots, no resin pockets - the things that cause problems in sauna environments.

Traditional species like Aspen and Alder perform excellently in standard sauna conditions. Thermally modified timber - Thermo Aspen, Thermo Alder and Thermo Radiata - goes through a heat and steam treatment process that dramatically improves dimensional stability, moisture resistance and durability. No chemicals are used.
